Description

A thick and filling smoothie made with pomegranate juice, beet, and spinach. It’s full of fiber and perfect for breakfast or after a workout.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 small beet
  • 1 large handful spinach
  • 1 orange or 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the spinach and chop the beet into small chunks.

2. Prepare the Fruit

Peel the orange if using it instead of banana.

3. Load the Blender

Add all ingredients to the blender in this order: juice, spinach, fruit, beet, and seeds.

4. Blend Until Smooth

Start blending on low, then increase to high. Blend for 60 to 90 seconds until smooth.

5. Adjust Consistency

Adjust thickness as needed. Add more juice or water if it’s too thick. Add ice or frozen fruit if it’s too thin.

6. Serve Fresh

Serve fresh for the best taste and nutrition.

Notes

Use frozen banana and pre-cooked frozen beet for a colder, thicker smoothie.

Add a scoop of protein powder to turn it into a post-workout drink.

A high-speed blender works best for a smooth finish. Steam beet beforehand if your blender is not strong.

Use pure pomegranate juice with no added sugar for the best flavor and nutrition.

Scrub and chop the beet before blending. If you’re using an orange, peel it first.

A frozen banana makes the smoothie thicker and creamier.

Chia or flax seeds are optional but great for adding fiber and healthy fats.
