A Soup That Soothes and Satisfies
Chicken noodle soup is the ultimate comfort food, light yet filling, flavorful but gentle, and famously good for the soul. This slow cooker version keeps the charm of the traditional recipe while making preparation a breeze. With tender shredded chicken, warm broth, and plenty of vegetables, it’s the kind of soup you’ll want to have on repeat all winter long. The use of dried herbs and a simple bouillon base adds depth, while wide egg noodles make it heartier.

Storage and FAQs
How long can I store leftovers?
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave. The noodles may absorb broth, so add a splash of extra broth or water when reheating.
Can I freeze chicken noodle soup?
Yes, but it’s best to freeze the soup without the noodles. Cook and add fresh noodles when reheating to avoid mushy texture.
Is chicken noodle soup really good for you?
When made with fresh vegetables, lean chicken, and low-sodium broth, it’s nourishing and gentle on the stomach, perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather.
Can I make it on the stovetop?
Absolutely! Sauté the vegetables and cook the chicken in a Dutch oven, then simmer with broth and finish with noodles. It’s just as delicious.
